MINECRAFT_HOLLOW: The Survival Guide

So you want to join our intrepid explorers. Here's what you need to do and know:

1. The server will be ON, S-TH 3:30p - 9:00p. F 3:30p - 10:00p. Sat 12:00p - 10:00p. WHY?! Because school, work, exercise, sleep all need to happen.
2. The explorer and their guardian need to sign the comment section on MINECRAFT_HOLLOW: The Rules with your real names, Minecraft username, and if you will be playing in a family world, elementary school world, or teen world. This shows me that you have read the rules and will follow them. You get 3 strikes, then your out, just like baseball. If there is really truly horrible behavior, you're just out.
3. The guardian must then contact me, Captain Mom, and ask for their kid to get on. You know how to get in touch with me, preferably via text, Facebook Messenger, or phone. I get too much email to wade through it.
4. You will need a Mojang account (the people who make Minecraft)
5. This server supports multiple worlds, depending what you listed on the Rules page when you signed, I'll give the explorer permission into the worlds the mate in charge says you can be in.
6. The initial world you spawn into is tittler-hollow. It's just a landing spot. It is peaceful creative. This shouldn't be your playing world. You should only play in the world you and your friends are sharing.

INSTALLATION

1. This is now a modded Forge server. We will use Twitch to manage the install on your computer. Download Twitch
2. Download this file onto your desktop which I made MINECRAFT_HOLLOW-1.0.0.zip
3. Make a free Twitch profile when you open Twitch.
4. Choose the Minecraft channel.
5. You will see 3 links: My Modpacks, Browse Modpacks, Create Custom Profile. Choose Custom Profile.
6. A dialog will popup. Right under the huge words "Create Profile", you will see teeny tiny words which say "Or import a previously created profile". Click on the word import.   
   
7. In the file browser which opens up, browse to where you saved the MINECRAFT_HOLLOW file and select it. Now a MINECRAFT_HOLLOW profile will be created in Twitch. 
8. Just click PLAY. It will download the correct version of Minecraft and the needed mods and install it on your system.   
9. Login with your Mojang account, choose Multiplayer Game, and connect to MINECRAFT_HOLLOW. The server info is still the same. 
10. Have fun.

Neat Tech Things

This is mine. Bwaaahaaahaaahaaa! I can do what I want to it. What that means is that if as a group you decided you want to create a Blade Runner world from some cool game seed you saw, I can do that. You want a cool texture pack? Sure give me the internet info for it. Is there a cool plugin you'd like to try out? We can do that too. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES. I will list what things I have installed here. If you want to to know the commands to some plugin, look it up on the internet. Don't ask me. I refuse to play Minecraft. I was trained as a Civil Engineer. I cannot touch this game. It would be like an alcoholic getting given their favorite drink. Not gonna do it.

Plugins & Mods

• LuckPerms (installed)
• Animania (installed) - "Animania is a Minecraft mod that replaces and upgrades passive animals from Minecraft, adding multiple breeds, new behaviors, and several new species. This is mainly achieved by replacing Minecraft models, textures, and animations for a more realistic feel. The behaviour of passive animals is more realistic with more stringent caretaking and better breeding. There is even more interaction with the player as there are more animal products to be processed, like cheese and carved meats."
• Mo'Creatures (installed) - Adds over 40 new monster and animal mobs. 
• Wings Horns & Hooves, the Ultimate Unicorn Mod (installed) - It puts into your game 4 new magical horse types (Unicorn, Pegasus, Nightmare, and Destrier - see below for details) and many new items, including magic wands, horseshoes, horse helms, pegasus wingtips, and more. Some of these items can be equipped to the different magical horses and give them extra magical abilities (and believe it or not, some they can use themselves)!
• Ice & Fire: Dragons in a Whole New Light!  (installed) - For hundreds of years, Dragons have roamed the lands of the Known World. They are not simply pests and menaces, but the main cause of the loss of many lives. Only a brave few can slay a dragon. Even less can tame one.

Texture Packs

• Invectus Texture Pack (installed) - Invictus is a high definition 64x graphics replacement for Minecraft with an emphasis on clean artwork and minimal detail. This project is a continuation of Soartex, a texture pack by Soar49. Invictus refines many of the elements of Soartex and adds thousands of textures.
• Decocraft (installed) - The Decocraft Mod adds a bunch of new props to the game to give your world a bit more life. You can now craft anything from furniture and silverware to lamps and beer kegs. This mod will definitely give you a lot more variety when decorating your builds.

In the future...

If you guys really want another type of Minecraft in the future, like Adventure, and they support custom servers, I can install a second Minecraft server to run in parallel on the same box. Who knows.
